About Webcasting.com
The parent company of Webcasting.com, Mike Pollock International, Inc., has specialized in both live and on-demand video broadcasting over the Internet for clients since 2004. We were one of the first in the nation to broadcast government meetings over the Internet. Our clients include local municipalities who have taken the idea of "Open government" to the 21 st Century by making their meetings available online - not just on public access television.
Our service was born when the popularity of satellite television and competitive cable television services became mainstream. Since neither of these Cable TV alternatives carried public access channels, local governments had to start thinking of other ways to reach their constituents. The widespread availability of broadband Internet access combined with our Internet/video expertise offers the perfect solution.
In 2007, New York State Governor Eliot Spitzer directed State agencies in Executive Order #3 (EO3) to make their meetings available online. We were the first company to help an agency gain full compliance with this order.
In October 2007, Mike Pollock International, Inc. Acquired Webcasting.com. |
